Would you like to gain experience working within a leading worldwide management consultant firm? This fellowship will provide an opportunity for a medical/dental trainee or clinical fellow to develop and hone their healthcare management and leadership skills. This 12 month role includes working on client facing healthcare projects and contributing to the Royal College’s leadership agenda.

Previous fellows have described the experience a providing a “rich environment for learning” due to the diversity of skill and background of colleagues. Being provided with an opportunity to see management consulting firms from “both sides of the fence” (as a clinician working within the NHS and as a fellow within McKinsey) demonstrated “ the value that a management consultancy can bring to healthcare” by providing an objective, facilitative, mediating and complementary role to the NHS. (Kirkman, 2016)

It is really refreshing to see that the Royal College is partnering to develop trainees into fully rounded healthcare professionals that will contribute towards improving the future of the NHS.
